Deconstructed Berries Crumble with Maker’s Mark Bourbon Ice Cream
Open Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Sandwich with Maker’s Mark Bourbon Chocolate Ice Cream
Here is the recipe:
2 cup whipping cream
2 cup 2% reduced fat milk
1 cup sugar
2 tbsp vanilla extract
2 tbsp Dutch process cocoa powder
Pinch of kosher salt
12 oz bittersweet chocolate, cut into pieces
7 fresh egg yolks
1/2 cup Maker’s Mark Kentucky Bourbon
Pour cream and milk into medium-sized double-boiler. When the mix gets hot, add sugar, vanilla, cocoa powder and salt. Whip thoroughly and then add chocolate. Stir until chocolate melts. Whish in egg yolks until totally incorporated. Let steep for 5 minutes. Add bourbon and steep for another 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from hear and let cool to room temperature and then cool completely in the refrigerator. Pour mix into ice cream maker and process according to manufacturer. Scoop ice cream into container and then place in freezer to cure and harden.
